For every stay booked through our website, a donation is made to Hopeful Heights to support volunteer Search and Rescue teams. We are honored to support such a selfless group of individuals that asks for nothing in return. No matter where you are or the severity of weather conditions, SAR teams always answer the call. In addition to the time they spend training and going on callouts regularly, they put themselves in harm's way without hesitation in order to keep us all safe. A good majority of team members are volunteers and contribute their own funds for safety equipment. Hopeful Heights provides funds for training, certification, safety equipment, and medical supplies. Mariposa Grove Creekside Retreat has a special connection to the lives of children with cancer and their families. As a mom having a daughter that has walked in their shoes, I clearly remember wishing we had the funds to offer something special to our daughter. Chemotherapy takes up most of a family's time and finances, so offering something extra at that time wasn't a possibility. Today, we are fortunate to work with the Children's Cancer Connection to offer a free stay at MGCR at Yosemite.
